Growing company/Great people

Business Outlook

Pros

Good benefits available, pay is good, flexible schedule. Closed on Sundays.

Cons

No opportunity to advance, I have been with the company for almost 15 years, very successful in my current position. Yet never asked about where I would like to be in the company in the future. Despite earning two degrees while employed with the company, or what my goals are within company. There is a lot of turnover in the management at the stores and the regional management, so it is hard to develop a relationship with them and help the company grow/succeed. The only way an employee gets noticed (i.e. promotion or a raise) is to threaten to quit.

Thanks you for the review and for being part of the Tire Discounters family. We pride ourselves on taking care of our customers AND our employees. Our benefits team works hard to ensure you have what you need to take care of you and your family. This year we have some new benefit programs and expanded our current benefit selection to offer you one of the best benefit programs in the industry. Retail is fast paced and not for everyone but we strive to hire right and train well to keep everyone progressing in their career path. Our recruiting team is always looking for more great employees. If you know of someone you would like to work alongside, tell them to check out our careers page at www.tirediscounters.com/careers .

Very stressful employer

Pros

The coworkers are usually great, and employee pricing makes any car repairs a great deal.

Cons

Everything else. Massive Micro-Management on the regional level. Policy updates make the rules for the job ever-changing. There's never enough staff on a per-store basis. Upper management cares little for employee satisfaction, Hours are usually open to close on a 11 hour work day. Employees are overworked and underpaid. Many competitors pay better.
