      Luxury Home Builder not a Luxury Employer

      Pros

      There is not one good thing I can say about this company

      Cons

      Corporate does not care about employees at branch locations unless they are looking for another job. You can and will be fired for having a resume posted to a job board. Massive lay-offs every November after close of fiscal year in October. Employees Christmas bonus is given to a charity of corporates choice. Benefits are below average. Training is specific to location working at and not tranferable.

      Pros

      Good exposure to various aspects of residential real estate development. Opportunity to take ownership of a project and to manage a team of real estate/construction professionals. Tremendous product.

      Cons

      Very poor management at the Regional level. Very little value placed in human capital. All employees are treated as easily replaceable cogs.

      Pros

      Great talk about diversity, no bullying, 1-800 number to call to report people, they talk a good game and make you sit through hours of video training to show you how wonderful they are.

      Cons

      Unfortunately, none of it’s true! My direct report boss was so toxic I had to leave. She would gossip and talk about firing members of our team all the time, made fun of our clients from India saying they smelt bad, if you were not in her clique she would make sure others would not speak to you at events. It was horrible! Her boss knew she was like this and did nothing!
