Pros

The Tom James Company is unlike any other sales opportunity. The Leadership of the company and the principals that govern it set each and every person up to succeed. They are willing to invest more time and money in an individual than most other straight commission sales jobs.

Cons

Some people who seek this job are seeking it for the wrong reasons. This job is not for everyone. It requires a level of focus and determination that not everyone has. It takes a lot of discipline and ability to adapt. This job is not suited for a person who wants to sit behind a desk or is looking for a retail position in a similar market.

Quarterly training. 2 national meetings are great

Cons

My particular managers didn't relate to me as a person, only as a way to make them money. I had to get a second job to make ends meet and the only help I received was, "man, that must be tough." I saved up enough money from my second job to support me to make the move to a different company.

Pros

Great direct sales experience and opportunity to interact with fantastic clients. The overall corporate culture is great and the sales meetings are incredible. Also, the C-level guys are great.

Cons

100% commission and NO expenses paid except for the semi-annual sales meetings. Some of the sales techniques taught (not by all) are kind of sleezy.
