Pros

I get to work with a great team to apply cutting-edge graph technology to solve real customer problems. Working for a small company means we can make decisions fast with a very flat management structure. Plus, they offer the flexibility I needed to work from home (before COVID) and to work part-time for better work/life balance. They recognize good work and reward it.

Cons

A small company is more resource-constrained, so sometimes good ideas have to wait. This is awesome technology, so it would be nice to be able to move a little faster. Small companies have their own culture that is much different than a corporate giant. It takes time to adjust to cultural norms.

Pros

This company specializes in the data visualization market, which has exciting growth potential, given the huge increase in the amount of data that companies collect and their desire to analyze it. It is led by the founder of the company, who is very knowledgable in this space and very passionate about the company's products and the industry. I have worked with him directly and really enjoy it. He is someone who encourages his employees to continue growing professionally and really cares about them. Overall, the leadership of the company is very supportive and open to new ideas. The employees of the company are very nice and friendly. It is also a very multicultural company. We have team members in Mexico, Greece, Germany, Australia, and other countries, and I do enjoy the diversity.

Cons

It is a smaller company, and sometimes you have to wear multiple hats and assume new responsibilities. Hence, at times it can get really busy.

While it can keep everyone busy, there is no better atmosphere to learn and be exposed to different sides of the business and foster that friendly and helpful atmosphere that you and others have commented about. Great technology, extremely talented people, up and coming industry. Good benefits and pay with flexible schedule.

Cons

Too much micromanagement and red tape at the top. Let managers manage and trust the employees you hired to succeed at their job.
