Pros

They make everything from scratch, which is commendable.

Cons

Cameras watching employees 24/7 (but not customers??), micromanaging everyone, you’re only safe if you’re friends with the owner or her family, otherwise you’re treated like you’re disposable, won’t offer raises, expected to stay after your shift every day. I worked a 12 hour shift one day and heard not so much as a ‘thank you’ or ‘we appreciate that.’ Say they offer sick time BUT DON’T (this is illegal btw). Expect to be harassed if you call out sick, or asked for a doctors note for a single day (also illegal fyi). Don’t follow their own recipes and fudge orders when they can. The air conditioning, ovens, and refrigeration all need maintenance but the owner won’t pay for them, allowing employees to work in unsafe conditions. (Been speaking with OSHA about getting their violations checked) Worst place I have ever worked.

learning the hard way

Pros

Lots to learn, high-volume experience, benefits.

Cons

Wholesale orders kept increasing despite people quitting left and right. No time to train new hires. Everyone was burnt out. Staff often stays 10+ hours each day. No time to troubleshoot product quality.

Just Don’t

Business Outlook

Pros

The people you work with

Cons

Management and ownership are so in the dark. They assume everyone is willing to work 12 hour shifts, don’t compensate for people’s time, put work onto other people’s plates if you set boundaries, cut your hours if you’re not willing to be exploited, ownership is petty and act like high schoolers. This business is draining.
