Pros

There are some awesome account managers that are willing to share their experiences and help you. They have cake once a month and celebrations quarterly depending on how the company does.

Cons

Their management team is woefully ineffective. They have daily meetings in which NOTHING and I mean NOTHING new is ever gone over. If you like wasting time you would love this team. When complaints arise during these meeting, they like to say that they are working on it when in reality they are too scared of upper management to actually help the people on the front lines. They like to bring in managers from the outside instead of internally, but love to tell people in interviews that they love to promote people. Their idea of management is reaching out at the END of every month to see how you’ve done. They ask what problems you faced and what you did to overcome it but offer no solutions of their own. Basically you are expected to be your own manager and if you can’t pull yourself solo they will watch you drown and tell you that you should have done more. Account managers are expected to be perfect but the management has zero accountability. They will let you fail because it is very easy for them to disperse your accounts to their favorites immediately after you’re gone.

Pros

Best reasons to work here are..... Not many. A few good co-workers. Some accounts will become lifelong friends. Can be considered as an entry level job in the healthcare industry. Great job if you enjoy sitting down in a windowless room dialing the phone all day.

Cons

This review comes after years of service as a sales rep... Opinions are not valued or in most cases, listened to. Sales training is terrible. It merely consists of teaching how to use the CRM and sales programs; which by the way crashes constantly along with the phones. Most IT issues are handled by outside vendors, so when sales tools fail, it's long before they are up and running again. Management offers no real training, advice, or even self experience in the industry or the position in which they oversee. Pay is terrible. Commission is hard to come by. There is so much competition in the market that new accounts are hard to come by. When you do get them, you're competing against companies who have the EXACT SAME PRODUCT. The only sales edge you may have over the competition is PRICE. If your price does not beat what they can get elsewhere, they will not buy it. As a sales professional, you should know that price is no way to sell a commodity. Again, this is a job, not a career. It would have been a career if you entered the industry nearly 10 years ago or more.
