Don't be fooled by the hiring process

Pros

You could make friends working here or even work with friends you already have. They pretty much hire all the time and in bulk.

Cons

The management team is horrible. They're rude and there is a lot of favoritism. If you don't suck up to the managers, you'll get stuck with crappy shifts and for Bayhosts, that means you get put in less popular areas. There is no room for growth at all. The schedule a lot of doubles and clones because people come and go. They fool you during "X-Factor" and training, but when people realize the truth, they leave. That's why they have hiring events every month, sometimes twice a month.

Inconsistent

Pros

The environment and the relationship with the co workers that you build is very positive and welcoming.

Cons

-Hours are not guaranteed. -Hours can be cut at a moments notice without notice. (Ex. From 40 hrs cut down to 16 hrs) -Schedule posted days, or even the night before next shift causing you to wonder on a Friday night if you work Saturday morning depending on your availability. -Intense workload: -Bar-backs are responsible for: •keeping back rooms clean on all 3 floors •Stocking all 3 bars • Changing kegs •Doing dishes on all floors •Making batches •Prepping garnishes for the whole facility •Receiving load (kegs, liquor, facility materials, etc.) •Serving beers and wine when on a floor -Bartenders determine how much you get tipped. (If you are not present on the floor you were assigned on the schedule, despite responsibilities, you will get tipped less. They can also give you 4$ after a long day and count that as a tip) -Bartenders earn more tip percentage than bar backs on credit card tips -All these responsibilities are day to day. If you are quick on your feet, you can get it done. If you are not, you will drown and the attention will be on you

Disappointed

Pros

Food discount, flexibility, understanding, kind

Cons

unprofessional, management is not concerned of employees well being, no breaks, I was harassed and bullied by a current employee who was continually promoted, my higher up knew of this and told me they didn’t see anything on the camera when someone physically assaulted me, I would come into work and not have a section, and be put anywhere to a point I could not afford to work there. Favoritism at its finest. I felt as if my training was a sham and not followed by anyone, some of my managers were very condescending and rude. Worst job experience i’ve ever had. The employee who assaulted, bullied, and harassed me continues to work at this Topgolf
