Pros

-Training was well done -some knowledgeable BCBA’s

Cons

-Policy confusion among office personal, HR, BCBA’s, & RBTs. Therefore, violations of policies are at whoever’s will -Hr and office do not answer calls/emails when questions about vocally states policy’s don’t match the company’s policy handbook -HR rep who hires on a new employee asks them to immediately write an online positive review of total spectrum -A known person of the company’s team was used to at multiple employees fired for subjective related reasons like not liking a persons response . - Very unethically altered policy’s multiple times a year & did not tell RBT’s and BCBA’s of those changes, which are the ones who actually implement the policies with clients/families. They also changed policy’s on parents of the company last minute (policy’s not in the TS handbook) -Have rbt’s work schedules just shy of full time so that they don’t get hired at full time status which requires benefits - Company actually pulled salary pay to full time employees (BCBA’s & Senior RBT’s) within a month of advising them that salaries may be pulled in 6 months. -Office personnel all reside within the same space therefore they become close knit which could be a good thing but becomes problematic when it manifests in unprofessionalism like lying for one another (HR is included in mix) - No Line of command or contact list is given to new employees therefore if ever a problem occurs you will likely need to speak an unbiased source

Pros

Amazing BCBA and RBT staff relationships, formed great bonds with families to create a positive therapy environment.

Cons

Management makes decisions that will affect families and staff without consulting staff. They have no idea what it is like in the field, they just care about the money. RBTs have a 2-3 month job security before quitting, mainly because there are no kiddos in their area. Families become upset by this, rightfully so, and kiddos are affected (skills tend to flatline or decrease and behaviors increase due to therapy team changing constantly). Scheduling will change your schedule within hours and call you yelling at you that you need to take the session. You need to be available 24/7 with answering emails, contacting parents, trying to train RBTs, having meetings with staff etc. You have no outside life. Families are lied to by management. Families talked to myself about their concerns and what they were told by management (found out what they were told was a complete lie). Management phone called staff to not tell family what is actually going on. Management simply doesn't care about the families and what they are actually telling them. They are all about the $$$$.

Total Spectrum does not have therapists sign contracts to stay for a certain amount of months. Perhaps you're referring to another company?

Quality Focused ABA Company!!

Pros

I love working at Total Spectrum! When I first joined TS, it was like a breath of fresh air working for an ABA company that actually provides quality services to clients/families. One of the things I value as an employee too is that your thoughts and ideas on how to improve the quality of services or processes/procedures are always heard! You really get to own your position and work independently, but support/feedback is always provided. No micromanaging here, which is awesome too!

Cons

I'd love to see benefit package improve and also more bonus opportunity for staff.
