Pros

rewarding work, company offers great compensation and pay is good for this type of entry level position, allows a lot of independence and responsibility

Cons

hours are not stable as an RBT- there needs to be a client base in your area which is not always the case depending on where you live. Shifts are short and working full time is not really an option as an RBT. Hours are often evenings with the kids being in school. Can be a lot of driving.

Pros

Looked good on paper and will tell you what you want to hear in the interview.

Cons

At first glance total spectrum might seem like the full package. However once working for the company you will soon realize the problems. Upper management does not care about the clients or employees. Their biggest goal is to grow and create an ABA empire. I began working for the company hopeful and wanting to continue to grow as a BCBA but soon realized they do not care about you just your productivity. I worked every night till 8pm and weekends, after multiple conversations with management and how I was experiencing burnout they blew off my concerns and adding additional clients to my caseload. Till the end they did not care about the clients I worked for or ny own well being. They just continued to take advantage of the "salary" position and that i needed to be available at all hours for them. I would definitely steer clear of this company, and wish I knew this before taking the position.

Pros

We were provided iPads to take our data on. The BCBA's were very easy to contact if I had questions or concerns. The children and families I worked with were very nice and always welcoming.

Cons

For some clients, a therapist would be expected to work 5 hours with a child in one day. In my experience, the client would grow tired of my presence after about 3 hours.
