Pros

All the residents care about your well being as much as theirs. Co-workers on the shift you work promote great teamwork abilities.

Cons

Management chooses favorites. Management won’t like you if you care too much, because that means you could get in there way. Was literally told by management that I was “Too helpful” when trying to get shifts covered for them, since we were so short staffed. And also told “Never to bother me again.” When my co-workers asked me to talk to management about their frustrations. Always short staffed, and are made to feel guilty if you don’t want to be there everyday. You’ll never be asked for your side of the story whether or not management was just to have a reason to be mad at you. I was personally smart enough to turn in my resignation before they could pull a reason out of thin air to fire me; like so many good employees before me. (Also, because I got a better job with better pay.)
