Tower Health Urgent Care

Pros

Shift work. Full time is three 12s per week. Requires to work every 3rd weekend. Most urgent cares require every other weekend, so every 3rd is a plus. No on-call schedule.

Cons

Poor management and HR. Required to work every other holiday. They no longer close early on holidays. They offer Health insurance but there aren’t many Tower doctors in the area.

Pros

Unable to identify any at this time.

Cons

Reading Hospital decided to close their inpatient psych unit, presumably because it was not a “money maker” for the rapidly expanding health system. TBH is run by for-profit Acadia Healthcare. Google them for additional serious concerns related to the for-profit company. TBH is incompetently run by a disorganized, under qualified, and under-prepared senior staff. They are more concerned with disciplining staff for non-existent violations than they are with creating actual policies. Facility took 3 years to complete when the initial projection was 9 months. Currently accepting minimal adult patients as they do not yet have full accreditation. Being advertised as the “new, state of the art facility” that will prove a Tower Health “cares” about mental health and substance disorders. Therefore, Tower Health closed their inpatient facility, their community treatment team, and their drug/alcohol center. TBH is not providing ANY of those services, and will not do so for years. In fact, given how long it took the initial facility to be built, it could take literal YEARS before TBH is able to provide all the mental health services they tout.

Pros

There are opportunities for advancement if you show yourself to be hardworking and professional.

Cons

Leadership is having a hard time staffing quality employees, and we're held back by substandard team members.
