Pros

There are many pros to working for Tower Loan. I have been with the company for a little over a year now and it's been great. They pay you very well for the job you do and you get bonuses, which helps to keep you motivated. They hire young people (like myself, I'm 23) and give you the opportunity to have a career you can stick with. There are so many great people that help you while you are growing in the company. I have had 2 supervisors ( 1 as a trainee and then my current one as a manager) and they have both been awsome. Any time I need a question answered or need to know how to do something, they are always there to help. When I first got promoted into management I was like 'oh crap, what now?' But they have helped to guide me through everything that has come my way. When it came to relocating I was really nervous, I have a family and I was a little worried on how it was going to go. Tower Loan took great care of us, making sure we found a place in our new town and even help in finding after school care for my step daughter. One of my favorite things about my job is being able to help people get a loan that maybe wouldnt be able to get one otherwise. It makes a difference in people's lives when you can help them with medical expenses or to provide Christmas for their families. I didn't mean to write a book, but I will end saying I highly recommend this company. They take care of their people and will start you in a career you can count on.

Cons

Every job has its challenges. We are a finance company, and let's face it some people are a little slow on paying their bills. The biggest challenge I face as a manager is trying to stay in contact with people who don't like to answer their phones. It's a little frustrating sometimes but in the end it usually works out.

Pros

If your office is running good numbers and performing well you can make a lot of money. You will learn a multitude of things about the finance industry and the importance of good communication skills. Being able to help customers in their time of need is very rewarding.

Cons

The favoritism shown by supervisors to certain managers is unbelievable. The company says no one can take a vacation in July, August, November, or December. In reality it only depends on how your supervisor feels about you. The hours are long at times. You are only good as your last closeout numbers on the 15th of every month. You can run good loan volume, profits & delinquency for a year straight but if your supervisor doesn't like you he or she will make up reasons to fire you.

Pros

Good pay with challenging goals, and opportunities to grow with the organization.

Cons

This job requires more than 40 hours per week to be successful. This is not a con, but if you are not willing to put forth the effort this may not be the job for you.
