      Terrible place to work, only something to get you by until the next REAL job

      Pros

      If you have horses or livestock and you already get supplies from tractor supply, you get a menial 15% employee discount (not valid on clearance which half their store is clearance all the time.)... not really any pros, stay away from this company!

      Cons

      They will promise you a dozen things but what you will get is lied to. Schedule is always changing without notice, hours are always getting cut, they will promise you $10 or more an hour but will only give you $9/hour at most, and tap dance around the giving you a raise idea. The store manager gets salary so they slack off and get bonuses for cutting everyone else's hard earned hours. they consider "full time" to be under 30 hours a week even though they promise you 40 before you start

      Love the work, fellow employees, and customers.

      Cons

      It's a lot of work and payroll is a constant battle. Therefore, there is a lot of work for a few people and the pay isn't always worth it.

      Pros

      Work indoors for the most part, out of the weather. Room to move up in company but its slow. If you are a female you will move up faster especially depending on the DM.

      Cons

      Can be hard work, more is expected from you than what they offer you in pay, some managers just make your job harder. Only get a raise if you get promoted or at annual review. Don't expect much of a raise at all!! If you are trying to support a family and are not going in as a manager I don't recommend coming to TSC. If you have bills and a mortgage or rent you probably won't have a whole lot left over.
