Pros

Benefit package is great .. Flexiable schedule .. Advance within the company there is always a way to work your way up through the ranks

Cons

PAY.. Sure we work hard to make money , more like work hard and wonder where the money is , store payroll is a giant issue never enough payroll to keep team members then get behind on store projects because we have no staff.

Pros

Not happy with the new payroll structure- only pros are for the company and store managers who are looking for a bonus at the end of the year

Cons

Tractor Supply has now removed the 8 hours overtime for Assistant Managers. Originally when I accepted the job I was required to work 48 hours a week now I am only required to work 40 hours a week with overtime in control of store managers. Company claims this is being done in order to be in line with other retailers. Also that the payroll isn't being taken away from stores. In other words the store managers can now schedule the less paid for the 8 hours, save payroll and I loose almost $8000 a year.

Confusing company to work for.

Pros

Generous employee discount, products that the company sells are overall of good quality. Decent work/life balance compared to other retailers. Bonus potential is generous as well, have had multiple years where bonuses exceeded $20k.

Cons

Senior leadership is very disconnected from what actually goes on at the store level. Payroll is micromanaged to the point where it is next to impossible to offer customers the shopping experience that they deserve. Field leadership (District Managers and Vice-Presidents) are more concerned with meeting metrics than with driving customer satisfaction and sales.
