It becomes clear pretty early on, that this company hires mainly college grads who don't know they should expect respect, boundaries, and perks from the job. Employees are paid insultingly low salaries, and are expected to pay translators the same level of meager wages. The hours are terrible - 9 to 6 is the signed contract, but there are days you'll come in at 8:30 and won't leave til 9. You're on salary, so you don't get compensated for this, but the job needs to get done. There's always more work than can be handled, because the processes are archaically bad. Technologies are not properly utilized here to make things more efficient. TransPerfect runs a tight ship, and with the low salaries and extremely stressful conditions, there is extremely high turnover. This makes it even harder on the employees that stick around. There are many stories of people sleeping at the office on occasion, and offices "imploding" because all of the PMs quit at once. I could go on and on, but that's enough for now. Spare yourself the stress, and don't work here.

Understaffed, underpaid unless you are extremely senior. Compensation is almost pyramid scheme-esque. Your first 3-5 years in this sale role you will be making anywhere from a quarter of a percent to (max) two percent commission while your manager or director makes the other 9%.
