Pros

Great culture and flexibility with benefits.

Cons

The company is beginning to aggressively push more and more positions off-shore. While this should be a strategy than can be effective, cost cutting is not a benefit to the customer. This is hurting associate morale and will likely cause people to re-consider their value in the company if they are seeing jobs not being replaced in the United States. A balance should be the strategy, but balance appears to be shifting largely to off-shore as attrition begins to take hold.

Pros

the pay is unbeatable. They have very competitive pay and benefits. Its almost worth it for the benefits and pay, almost. If you do not work in operations, its an amazing place to work.

Cons

You are a drone, do not introduce a new idea, you will be penalized for it. There is so much work to do and then you have your on-call weeks where it gets even worse. And the change process is so difficult, its impossible to get the work done that needs to be done without documenting every line even every character of every change you will do. If you submit the change in a format that the approving peer doesnt like, it will not be approved. If your change is even one word different from what you had approved, they will document it. The CREATIVITY at this place does not exist.

I'm concerned to read your review. What you describe is not the environment we've built. I want every associate here at TransUnion to feel challenged and fulfilled by the work they do, and to be able to go home every night feeling proud about their contributions. Innovation and creativity should never be discouraged. If you're comfortable chatting, I would really like to hear more about your experience. Please reach out. - Anne Leyden, EVP HR
