The best thing that ever happened during my time at Transcat is the time a Lab Technician from an offsite lab sent a company wide email announcing that he had been urinating on customer equipment in for repair and that he was quitting. It really inspired me to quit too. Thank you guy!

Cons

Verbal abuse from co workers, manager and Human Resources. Severely outdated methods of communication, no investment in infrastructure or support staff.

Improvement over Newark Services

Pros

Transcat bought Newark Services in Colorado. They made much needed changes and improved operations. Less management was better management and bad habits were replaced by a corporate control and process. Inter-lab capabilities has strengthened the services available. Sales problems and culture of unaccountability has ended.

Cons

Old habits die hard in a small 'Mom-n-Pop' shop mind set. The need for more and better metrologists still exists.
