Operations don’t care about because you are just a number.

Pros

Dedicated routes; will have you rolling and will get miles and depending on your DM the communication is good. My DM is great personally it’s when I have to talk to other DM’s is when the problems occur.

Cons

Don’t care about you getting home in time; you never get home on time. Will send you to get loads opposite of home direction affecting when you get home even if promised to get home on certain day and will tell you once you’re home you still have to deliver load even if you don’t get a full 34.

Pros

Everyone is going to have their own perspective & everyone’s reality is different. TLI tries really hard to fix what’s broken (big picture & driver isolated problems). Their pay is better than most. They run newer equipment. Recruiting doesn’t lie. At least mine didn’t. What she said is what happened. Good dedicated accounts. Good miles. Most dispatchers & planners are nice & easy to work with. Dispatch tries hard to have every driver planned for the week coming up.

Cons

No bonuses for safety (except a good DOT inspection). The company has grown in the last year but it used to feel more “homey” and “close”. You’ve gotta find the right people to help you solve your problems. The people at the top who you’d think can fix things, it’s not always them. Sometimes it’s the “little guy”. Forced dispatch. No APU or fridges in team trucks. Solo trucks have it all. The options missing in the trucks (hill assist, being able to just do a regen when you notice your truck needing one before it’s begging for one). Just little things. Not enough to make me not want to work here. This is my home!
