Pros

100% remote work available. Little oversight and no micromanagement.

Cons

Training is terrible. The resources aren't reliable and no matter how closely you follow them you are still likely to fail a Quality audit. Bonus program is a joke so don't let them negotiate you to a lower salary with the promise of incentives. Underwriting continues to hire new personnel and train them but neglects to further the authority of their current personnel. Training pipeline has no formal plan or schedule. They can't tell you when you may or may not be receiving additional training. Every notice is provided last second.

Pros

Medical Benefits, free lunches and the relationships you form with co-workers.

Cons

Training is sub-par and leadership doesn’t seem to invest in good training. Workload is extreme and performance expectations are unreasonable. So if you enjoy working OT and working off the clock just so you can keep your job then you may enjoy working in their claims Dept. They really don’t want employees working OT so it counts against you because you’re not capable of doing the work in 40 hrs. Let me be clear, they will never ask you to work off the clock however they will terminate you if you’re working hard but still not meeting their metrics. So lots of employees work without pay just to keep up in their Georgia office. That is not balance. I wouldn’t recommend working here.

Pros

Employer was willing to hire people as full-time remote during the pandemic.

Cons

Promotions are exceedingly rare. I've been here for more than 3 years and I've seen a total of one promotion handed out. They seem to love keeping everyone in the "associate developer" pool as a way to limit salary growth by telling people they've reached that position's salary cap. Forced all employees who were not remote prior to the pandemic to return to office with very few exceptions given. I know of one employee who moved several hundred miles away from their previous office during the pandemic and ended up having to move back because they were not given a remote work exception once the RTO push started. Teams get shuffled yearly, if not more often. You will not work on one project or with one group of people long-term. ANY negative feedback on either your mid- or end-of-year review will be used as grounds to withhold promotions and/or raises.
