Disappointed in management staff in small business teams in Richardson, TX office.
Pros
Good benefits package with good time off. You can purchase additional time off which I do. The more you can not be in the regional office the better you feel. Note - If they are short staffed, which they often are due to turn over, you can negotiate better pay. Makes it easier to stomach the micromanagement.
Cons
Management plays favorites, always younger employees. Favorites are given all opportunities, best if not all bonuses, and given preference on newer equipment, desk location, better work from home opportunities and time off requests. Management ask for feedback and opinions but beware if you offer honest feedback or opinions. You will be an outcast if management feels you are not walking lock step. No female managers in my team. This is the good old boy system. Don’t be fooled. Small business is managed by all white males. *However, if you are a female comfortable with flirting with your managers your existence is always better. Poor moral of employees because they are micromanaged at every turn. Micromanagement leads to minimal employee performance. Usually high turn over every year after bonus period. Bonuses are a joke. Even with the stock market performing at record highs and some of the best tax breaks for companies in U.S. history - always and excuse to not offer performance cash, pay increase or even stock options. Favorite employees are always awarded big bonuses even though you out perform favorites on overall numbers. Very disorganized regional office. Normally business team does not hit goal yet same managers remain, employing same failing tactics.
