Pros

Workload is acceptable and opportunities to advance within 2-3 years are capable. Great start pay. Many areas internally to work at within county. 8 hour shifts and 12 hour shifts possible.

Cons

High turnover. Some areas are a bit challenging to work in, but with continued exposure and work you will commensurate experience in these areas and become a more valued officer.

Pros

Its a county job. The 401 K plan is awesome. decent benefits. money for most jobs is pretty good

Cons

There is a lady that works in the Pflugerville office for family and services that is racist and rude. The benefits keep changing over the years and is making it difficult for families with large deductibles.
