Pros

Flexible hours, you get to work in a park, and be involved with the local community.

Cons

Did not get paid this year for a day I was scheduled but didn't work- full-time employees were paid, but not part-time. Last year, we did get paid for a cancelled work day.

Pros

Excellent pro-worker leadership from Commissioners Court and the best retirement.

Cons

Some pay inequity for employees who have been with the county for awhile whose compensation is based on older pay scales and matrices. Hybrid schedules are decided by each Director so many employees are not allowed to enjoy this employer benefit while others do even if they are in positions where they can perform their duties from home.
