Not worth the stress

Pros

Flexible schedule, some Saturdays off, typically work only one a month.

Cons

Mean girls, mean girls, mean girls. Management has there favorites, and if you don’t suck up, you will never make it far. The raises are one a year for less than a dollar, and pay is SO mediocre. Turn over is yearly, and that’s why this department had FIVE loan officers leave at the same time. Management is inconsistent, and if you aren’t liked, be prepared for the mental abuse you receive daily. Constantly told to do something, and once you do exactly what they ask- they say you are doing it wrong. Cannot be promoted unless in the position over two years, and doing every other departments jobs on top of that.

Pros

Job was close to home. Immediate department was very good.

Cons

Not much ways to grow professionally and they use way outdated and troublesome software. Working with other departments is troublesome and difficult. Not very much teamwork.

Terrible Management.

Pros

Immediate co-workers were good to work with. Good benefits.

Cons

Toxic work environment. The senior leadership in lending is terrible. A culture of distrust, secrets, and back stabbing are encouraged. Petty bickering, criticizing fellow employees in front of members and other employees. Maybe other departments are better, but not lending. The high turn over tells you all you need to know
