Toxic Environment

Pros

Not much apart from pay and benefits

Cons

The company fosters toxic work culture. There is no process, direction, right tool to be able to thrive. You will be given minimum to no training and expected a lot. If you ask questions, you could be severely judged. In a nutshell, the company is in total disarray. The leadership doesn't really care about putting in place a positive environment. Travis Mathew has a very high turn rate. People just keep quitting because of lack of support. I would not recommend anyone to work here.

Pros

Discounted clothes Coffe machine....I guess Basketball court

Cons

Promises of inclusion and changes with little to no efforts met TURNOVER IS HIGH travisMathew image and brand is super cool, but behind the scenes its heartless, and cold. It's nice to be out in the field, but they'll work you to death with little to no free time and a disappointing allowance. When you're at the office just picture a gigantic space with hundres of cubicles and desks that are 60% empty. It's basically concrete, with no carpet or a sense of warmth. Compile that amazing "comfort" with executives who walk around acting like they own the place, not ackowledging your presense or saying hello.

Interviewed and was offered, I turned it down.

Pros

Cool, laid back surfer vibe, dude!

Cons

Full disclosure: I never worked here, only interviewed. I was pretty pumped about the opportunity to work for the company and applied and had an initial in person interview, approximately 30-45mins. I was then told that if I was moved forward I would have a few more phone interviews. Ok. That ended up being a 4 week, 5 call, an hour each interview process. For an hourly or salary store management role, IN RETAIL. Stop, it’s not that serious. In the initial interview I told the guy I wanted $20/hr if hourly and $50k if salary to which he said we were certainly on the same page. After those 4 weeks and 5 hours worth of interviews at odd times and me accommodating all of that, I finally was called with my offer: $18.50/hr. WHAT A JOKE. And then of course the requisite “well with OT and bonus potential $48k should be well within reach.” Shove it. On to the next. Amazing that employers don’t like when applicants fluff their experience and skills but somehow stringing people along to offer them well below their asking price is ok.
