Pros

Some great people to work with at the lower levels. Marketing team is under good leadership and seems to have fun, but not other departments.

Cons

Upper management does a bad job of career development and giving a clear path to grow. There is a growing history of misleading employees and false promises. Often put people in a position to fail. No matter how many people leave, management can't look in the mirror and always point fingers at others. It is easy to see which reviews are written by management on glassdoor. Do you homework and reach out to current/past employees before considering.

Interviewed and was offered, I turned it down.

Pros

Cool, laid back surfer vibe, dude!

Cons

Full disclosure: I never worked here, only interviewed. I was pretty pumped about the opportunity to work for the company and applied and had an initial in person interview, approximately 30-45mins. I was then told that if I was moved forward I would have a few more phone interviews. Ok. That ended up being a 4 week, 5 call, an hour each interview process. For an hourly or salary store management role, IN RETAIL. Stop, it’s not that serious. In the initial interview I told the guy I wanted $20/hr if hourly and $50k if salary to which he said we were certainly on the same page. After those 4 weeks and 5 hours worth of interviews at odd times and me accommodating all of that, I finally was called with my offer: $18.50/hr. WHAT A JOKE. And then of course the requisite “well with OT and bonus potential $48k should be well within reach.” Shove it. On to the next. Amazing that employers don’t like when applicants fluff their experience and skills but somehow stringing people along to offer them well below their asking price is ok.

Pros

It was close to home, so the commute was good. There was a gym on site. We worked with good factories and got quality product from them.

Cons

It felt like a boys’ club, and people often got set up to be fired if upper management decided they didn’t like a person. Pay was very low compared to industry standards. When I was there, there was no room for growth in my department.
