Not For the Faint of Heart - But Worth It
Pros
The people from the top down are the best reason to work at TM. There are a large number of genuine friendships inside the office and everyone loves to work hard and play harder. The company and executive management has done a good job keeping everyone motivated and trying to support teams through a tough ERP implementation. The work is fast paced and expectations are high but it’s worth it. You get to be your own boss and work independently and you don’t get micromanaged as long as you’re getting your work done. The culture is one of accountability and ownership but if you’re driven, you’ll appreciate it.
Cons
Some of mid-level management is young and new to it. They also have a lot on their plates as individual contributors which can make it hard for their direct reports. However, the open door policy allows you to go to anyone for help and advice. The work can be hard and you’ll have dueling priorities at times. Communication is key and not everyone thrives in that environment so it can be challenging for some.
