      Great coworkers and an exciting field BUT…

      Pros

      It’s fun helping people and being around bikes all day

      Cons

      The pay isn’t remotely competitive in New York. Hours get cut back when they’re slow. The only person in the building guaranteed to get minimum hours is the store manager and even they’re not paid very well in the market and most are checked out at the moment. This is a problem across more than 10 stores I’ve interacted with in the region.

      None that were observed by me.

      Cons

      This company does not care about their employees. They are expanding their operations too quickly, without building an appropriate infrastructure. They spent millions renovating their headquarters, expanded too quickly, and now are in obvious financial hardship. They do not provide direction or support to their employees.

      Pros

      -Can have some great co-workers. -Opportunity to move up (But I wouldn't recommend) -75% Tuition reimbursement -Depending on the store the environment can be low stress -Coffee on the company -Discount on a bike (If it shows up) Bottom line If your looking for a place to work for a season, it could work.

      Cons

      -Employees dont have much say at work. -For a employee that dosent get commission they want you to sell certain dollar amounts per transaction EVREYTIME. Not lowstress - You have to "Roll play" to help you sell more through their "Guide sales process" Feels kinda gross -Will say that they respect and value employees but do the opposite. - Kool aid tastes horrible
