In response to your feedback, we recognize that we’ve undergone immense growth and change, which can lead to negativity. We are working very hard to address and rectify any issues. We recently rolled levels for each employee and completed our October round of compensation reviews. We reviewed employees based on their performance, feedback from their manager and peers (internal checks), and based on in-depth market research (external checks). We worked hard to ensure our compensation is on par with the market and we introduced salary bands for each level, and brought people into appropriate ranges. As we grow and hire new managers, from both within TribalScale and externally, we are working to ensure they continue to develop and learn for the benefit of their reports. We’ve implemented more training programs and are fine-tuning managerial expectations and our internal processes. We also recently launched a culture committee with representatives from each team. The culture committee will make sure that we cultivate and maintain a positive environment through growth. They will be implementing new initiatives and will make sure all feedback is heard and addressed. Like you, we recognize that there are some pretty awesome people at TribalScale who know the value of hard work and fun times, we want to keep it that way :)

Pros

- Almost everyone is friendly and nice, lots of good people around, pleasant environment overall - Good benefits and perks (30 sick days, unlimited snacks supply in the office, discounts & coupons online, netflix account etc.) - Opportunities to grow in different areas and learn in pair programming sessions. Mostly if you're more Junior though rather than Senior - Interesting different clients from time to time

Cons

- Pair programming is a key thing in the company and it's 100% of the time. You basically don't have any personal space, don't have your own computer, can't take a break and do some coding with your headphones on or anything like this. You always have to talk over what you're doing, always pair with someone. Pretty exhausting and uncomfortable feeling, not for everyone for sure - Most of the time you're paired with Juniors & coops. Thus, lack of Seniors in the company as they probably trying to avoid all this pair programming hustle. - Working hours are 9 to 6. This unpaid extra hour is very annoying. Firstly, one unpaid hour a day sums up into 30 unpaid working days a year, which is a lot to say the least. And secondly, if you don't live nearby you get home like 8pm and have no life. - Salary is kinda meh for the amount of troubles you get with the job - Seems like all these benefits are there just to compensate everything stated above - Company increased in size basically twice in just half a year from 100 to 200 people so you get everything that comes with it - Kinda too much corporate bs for my taste (all these weird rituals, lots of words about meritocracy etc.)

Pros

Love working on a team of diversely talented, quality-driven and collaborative product designers. **Loads of knowledge transfer between peers and designers genuinely want to help each other out in busy and stressful times. **Very supportive director of design who has her team's best interests at heart and strives to help keep a healthy balance for everyone between work and personal lives.

Cons

We work 9am - 6pm every day and working from home is discouraged. This is based on the fact that our software engineers and designers typically pair on projects and it's most ideal to work side by side which I totally get. Personally, I would love to come in earlier, like 8am when I'm most productive and be able to head home earlier than 6pm.
