Pros

- The company focuses on growth. They love to empower and teach their employees about whatever they are interested in learning. Those who have never worked on Android before but want to learn, are given the opportunity. They have lunch and learns every Thursday where industry leaders educate us about their products and companies. Fridays there are demos that help boost those who have never done public speaking, and also beneficial to the presenters when the audience members comment. - The founders care about their employees opinions and needs. They have bi-weekly retrospectives where you bring up the things that went well, the things that didn't go well, and action items are created so the work environment can be improved week upon week. Once a week they have a "5 at 5" where they take 5 employees out for drinks and food so people that work in different departments can get to know one another and provide feedback to the founders. One-on-one meetings with your manager are once every month or two to help provide feedback and support the employee. Founders encourage that you ask them out for a walk-and-talk where they buy you a coffee and you just chat for however long you're out for. - Breakfast, snacks, drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) are provided. - Ping-pong table, video games, Foosball table, with bots on slack that keep track of the scores and rankings. - Amazing culture. Great coworkers that are social, fun, and smart. They are always willing to help you out with what you're working on, or just play some Foosball.

Cons

- Pay is not insanely competitive compared to larger companies since it's a start up. - Health insurance is not the most complete plan I've seen, but still very reasonable. - Environment is noisy since they encourage pair programming, discussion, and sometimes people play music or videos.

Pros

This is the first job I can say I cannot wait to start working every morning. The company gives you a lot of opportunities to grow, and most importantly, they will ask you in what way you want to grow and try to customize the career path for you :) The company made me the tech lead for a large project of a big client just in my second month there, and I am totally surprised by the trust they put in new employees and super excited about this opportunity. At TribalScale, you have tons of opportunities to work on new projects and write it from scratch. Writing a project from scratch is completely different than jumping in a large project in a big company. You get to build the code base from 0 line, and interact a lot with designers, PM and clients. The experience is much more valuable and rewarding. You will become much more confident every time you finish a project from scratch. People are all super friendly. You have the chance to learn anything from anyone in the company anytime! I haven't grabbed the CEO out for a coffee but I will soon! The culture is amazing. No HR or management BS. Everything is straight and transparent. The pace is fast and keeps you energetic. A lot of social events and lunch and learn. Get to play Super Smash Bros when you want to relax :D You get free breakfast. This is so awesome! Time just flies while I'm working here. I'm super happy and love my job :)

Cons

Startup can be chaos sometimes but it's fun :)
