Pros

- Employer paid health scheme is really good - Employer pension contribution very good - Before Covid there was a really strong team spirit and good morale. The lack of communication and team meetups has ruined this. - Could be quite flexible, especially with working from home and working around family

Cons

- Salary wasn't very competitive even though they claimed it to be - Complete lack of progression - Poor organisation and communication. Especially with an ever changing HR team. - Recent redundancies at the company have completely destroyed morale and created a lack of trust and confidence in Trident. Job security out the window - Wrong people are listened to for ideas, the people with knowledge are ignored - Management form cliques and pick their favourites, this has always been made abundantly clear.

Don’t be fooled by what you’re sold

Pros

The people you work with are great, there’s a real sense of community in which everyone is equal and fighting the same fight.

Cons

Management don’t have a scooby. The company lead you to believe that they care about your well being but do nothing to support or back it up. Most managers are unapproachable. Too many egos. You’re expected to work over time and long hours when it suits the company the most, if you decline or say you can’t it’s almost as if they guilt trip you in to thinking you’re letting your team down. No real structure or development plan.

Face must fit

Pros

The benefits are good. They supply food, good financial rewards and run regular events to engage the staff. Many staff are committed and a relaxed atmosphere for some departments. It is a little like high school-if your face fits and you are popular you will have a great day.

Cons

If your face fits (and this will not be dependant on your skills) you will be fine. But beware, the management are cliquey, awkward and are masters at nasty manipulation. They stab staff in the back whilst sweetly smiling to their face. There is a horrible culture of bullying by management. Their HR Department, as others have mentioned here, is truly dreadful. Never raise a complaint as you will find yourself out on your ear extremely quickly. As the company grows it is loosing it's previously caring and fun culture. Staff are expected to work long hours, there is a culture that anyone not online all evening are not committed.
