Great Place for Growth

Pros

Trident is a strong company creating transformative technologies. I have had the opportunity to grow and try many different aspects of my job over my time at Trident through strong mentoring and guidance from my management. Since the acquisition by LightRidge Solutions, we have been afforded even more opportunities to grow and work alongside our sister companies. Employees have greater insight into job growth and opportunities as the company has grown. Trident is a great place for engineers looking to prove their skill sets and climb the ladder quickly.

Cons

As Trident has grown, more engineers have joined who do not understand the vision/mission for the company, and act like it's something it isn't (a place to focus on themselves, a place where they are entitled to promotions without being better than their peers, a place where they make the business decisions for the company). This makes it hard for those of us working to build strong technological foundations that can transform our industry.

Pros

None that I can think of at the moment. The company got purchased in June 2023 by Lightridge so any reviews you read about this place positive or negative prior to June 2023 should be taken with a grain of salt.

Cons

When opening a new position at a company, a manager’s primary responsibility is to ensure there is actual work to justify the role. For a full-time employee expected to contribute over 2,000 hours annually, it’s essential to have a clear understanding of their responsibilities before hiring. Figuring it out after the fact and resorting to layoffs due to a lack of planning reflects poorly on leadership and organizational foresight.
