Thank you for your feedback. Finding the exact right ratio of meeting time vs project time and work-life balance is a challenge for many organizations. As a speed wins company, we definitely try to limit the amount of time spent in meetings, while also recognizing the importance of certain meetings to align goals and roadmaps. We’re always welcome to suggestions on how to improve on either area and I’d encourage you to speak directly with your manager or HRBP about any of your concerns. Thank you again for your comments. -Nick Shanny, SVP Engineering

Thank you for taking the time to leave your comments. I’m happy to read that you enjoyed your colleagues, and our many great benefits while working at TripAdvisor. Since joining TripAdvisor 6 months ago, many employees have shared similar feedback with me regarding mobility and goal transparency. As an organization, we recognize these areas of opportunity and we are actively working on making improvements. Thank you again for your feedback, and we wish you the best of luck in your new position. Beth Grous Chief People Officer

Pros

Personal travel benefits, free drinks on Friday, bonus every 3 or 4 months, health and dentist insurance

Cons

The new employees who start one year after you always will be paid more than you. Loyalty to the company and quality at work are not considered. Very difficult to be promoted

Thanks for your feedback. There are many considerations that go into promotional decisions, including individual performance and business need. We’re proud of the many employees who are promoted each year here at TripAdvisor but even so, as Beth (our CPO) noted in previous posts, career pathing and mobility is a key priority for us this year across the businesses in the TripAdvisor Media Group. Ultimately, each employee is responsible for both planning out their own career and for enlisting their manager as a partner in executing that plan. So I encourage you to connect with your manager directly to discuss your career aspirations and how you and your manager can partner together on your development and growth. I value candid feedback and am happy to connect live to hear more about the concerns you shared. Dermot Halpin, President, Vacation Rentals
