Nepotism to the max

They train you to use some good automotive software.

Cons

If you're in the "good old boys club" - if you are a family member or close friend of a manager - then you are all set. The family members of managers barely even work, and everyone else has to pick up the slack. Nepotism will destroy this company. They like to lay off older employees who have higher wages, then hire a bunch of young people who will work for $12-$14/hr. No loyalty. I hear they don't even give a severance package to laid off employees. They also do not diversify their business and rely almost 100% on Ford, who keeps shipping jobs to India and other lower wage countries.

Got a variety of experience from all the tasks I was assigned to do. I was able to learn a lot from it.

Cons

None, I’m not able to come up with any real cons to this job. I’m grateful for the opportunity concerning this time period. I’m open to the future.

Pros

Very good company to work for. Excellent benefits even in this ever changing political climate. Vacation, personal & sick days, not all companies can match what TDM provides you. I have seen what other people pay in the market place for health insurance and what they get for it. We are VERY fortunate here. Opportunity for growth within the company, if you are willing to work at it.

Cons

There are some areas in the company where people take it for granted that they have such a good job. This can lead to complacency and not always giving your best effort, can turn into an environment of people just hanging onto a job.
