Pros

I get a review yearly with pay increase. After being at Trugreen for more then 6 months you get up to 5 days vacation and it does increase after five years to ten days and so for.

Cons

training is not as good as it use to be, it feels as some are really just thrown out there. Trugreen makes you feel like the advancing process is not possible bc when ppl ask for advancement layoffs begin to happen. Pay is horrible. I have seen ppl work here for 10+ years and barely make over 12$ an hour. For all the work you have to do for the company, rather it be in sales, customer service, or a service tech, you are not paid enough for the issues you have to deal with. Trugreen is very cheap with paying employees. Its like Working at Mcdonalds 40-60 hours a week and paid minimum wage and dealing with the good customer and bad customers. You get Chinese overtime, too,

Pros

I started in 2010 as an auditor. Emphasis on customer service was spectacular. The office staff were very gracious and went out of their way to assist all members of staff and all customers. The best environment ever!

Cons

Corporate took over our location and pitted everyone against each other. My job, while full and fulfilling in the beginning was chaotic and confusing in the end. New phone systems pushed our local customers into the corporate spiral nightmare created by an out of touch CEO. Outdated computer systems and frustrated management only accelerated their demise. In the end I had enough. You spend half the day sending the same report to 20 different members of "management", while ignoring customer complaints. Sales staff were encouraged to lie to get a sale. I was encouraged to have them pay for a year of service upfront, and inevitably Trugreen would mess it up.

Pros

The only good thing about working at TruGreen is leaving it in your rear view mirror

Cons

Constantly misleading employees, promising 1/2 day Saturdays, lower sales quotas, only to continually tell the staff that they missed the number (regardless of performance) and that they will have to work until 6:00 on Saturday, instead of noon as promised. Sales people have to birddog their commissions to make sure they get paid properly. More weeks with problems than without. Management does not care and does not stand up for their sales staff. Rather - constant brow beating to get better numbers. The company talks about doing the right thing, but lies and misleads its customers as badly as it does to its staff. No concern at all for customer complaints, does not honor Do Not Call registries, badgers both existing and cancelled customers with constant telemarketing, and does not honor its commitment to customers to make good on damaged lawns, or ineffective applications. Simply - a dishonest company.
