Pros

The only reason to work for TruGreen was you got paid every Friday. The commision structure was fair, but not great. It is a good place to work if you need money every week and you don't mind working 6 days a week. During the spring and summer there was an oppertunity to do door to door sales and that could be enjoyable if you are with a good crew.

Cons

Management had us working 6 days a week, and sometimes 7 days a week. Not a company for anyone that wants a life outside of the dingy grey walls of a warehouse, unless you want to sell door to door.

Pros

Salary is based off commission.

Cons

Very difficult to sell in the communities that literally have solicitation laws against what you are doing. The metrics or knocking or doors need to be hit even if it takes time to close the sales you need to hit those metrics.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We're glad you recognized the opportunity our commission-based structure offers for high earning potential. We understand that selling in certain communities can present challenges, especially in areas with strict solicitation regulations. We work diligently to provide training and support to help our team navigate these situations effectively and ethically, and we’re continuously evaluating our strategies to ensure they align with both local laws and our company standards. Regarding performance metrics, they are designed to help drive consistency and success across the team. That said, we recognize that every sale is different, and we’re actively working on ways to better balance productivity expectations with the realities of longer sales cycles. We appreciate your feedback—it helps us improve and support our team more effectively. Wishing you continued success in your career.
