Pros

Kitchen staff is very friendly

Cons

Rude management, they dont acknowledge all of their employees, I went several shifts where I wasnt spoken to at all, very unprofessional. Most of the staff is either racist or prejudice toward black people. Kitchen managers always leaving early, not closing up. Front of house managers are rude, except Dennis, the assistant manager. Majority of the staff is LGbtq, which shows there is discimination in the hiring straight people. I do plan on reporting to corporate, but to any non lgbtq folks out there looking for a job, this is not the place.

Great company, horrible management

Pros

The company itself is amazing. The employee discount is great. I work at true food, and when I travel I always eat at true food

Cons

The downtown Summerlin location is a mess. There was a tyrannical manager who was kept employed despite numerous HR reports. She'd have friends post positive reviews about her performance on the yelp page and it would be so obvious because what customers leave reviews about the manager? Reviews that are legitimate are always about the food service and atmosphere, but every time this manager would terrorize her staff there'd suddenly be a glowing review specifically about her. Finally she was let go of recently but it took outrageously long. There wss many shifts with many servers but no tables because customers were put on wait lists. Now that problem has been remedied by giving the staff no shifts! Good luck getting hours here. New management got rid of eating breaks. As servers and bussers we are always on our feet burning through calories and we would be discouraged from ordering food and not allowed to eat. Sure I understand giving lunch or even mandatory 15 min breaks to eat can be a strain in this industry but seriously? We can't order a small meal and take a bite whenever we have a free second, or even 5 minutes? Working hungry contributes to exhaustion and foggy service. Closing duties at the end of the shift take up a lot of time.

Thank you for bringing these concerns to our attention. Your feedback is crucial for us to address issues regarding the management and staff operations. The situation with the previous manager is troubling and it's unfortunate that it took so long to come to a resolution. We also understand how frustrating it can be to have changes in your shifts and not be allotted the proper time for breaks and meals. We are committed to making improvements and ensuring a better experience for all of our staff members. Thank you again for your detailed feedback.

Pros

True Food Kitchen is a place for unique individuals! Some of my closest friends came as a result of working for this company. We really care about the work that we do, the quality of service we provide for our guest, and the food we serve! Its rare to love and be proud of the food you’re selling as a server and I really do love it.

Cons

The hourly pay really sucks and even though we might make a little more in tips due to the food prices, its still not guaranteed because there is no automatic gratuity or suggested tip provided to our guest so we get a lot of 10% tips ,which don't pay the bills
