      Great front-line employees, but poor IT leadership impacts morale

      Pros

      Front-line employees are really great. Everyone seems to be aligned with the mission of helping pet-loving pet-parents care for their dogs and cats. PTO is good and typical schedules are very flexible in most departments. Strong DEI guidelines that were enacted many years ago.

      Cons

      Senior leadership in IT has fallen through the floor in recent years, leading more with intimidation rather than motivation or inspiration, leading to extremely low morale. Just in the first half 2026, there have been about 10 departures from the engineering org. Insurance is fine for employee only, but adding spouse and children gets VERY expensive. Pay is mediocre.

      Pros

      Benefits are decent and in certain positions you can be fully remote

      Cons

      Pay is literally minimum wage and they're rapidly offshoring every job they can. Obsessed with increasing shareholder value but it's not even working for them (their stock has plunged recently). No opportunities for raises or advancement.
