There are plenty of ways to demonstrate ones value and capabilities. If you're dedicated the faculty will notice and it is easy to gain a good reputation.

Cons

It is easy to be distracted by all that is the city of New Orleans and funds are definitely directed towards the business school before anywhere else.

I have very much enjoyed my position at Tulane. Management supports innovation and creative thinking and the management style promotes self starting.

Cons

Like all of higher education there is a lot of bureaucracy which is to be expected and the money isn't as competitive as the private sector.
