      Pros

      It's a great campus work setting. The people really care about their job and making it a great experience for the students at the university.

      Cons

      Some of the computer systems and software were very outdated. Managers had been in their positions for many years, which sometimes led to resisting change and improvements.

      Pros

      I worked at SPHTM while in graduate school. -Supportive and friendly work environment; sense of community -Flexible schedule; great for a student -Chances to work independently and make a useful contribution

      Cons

      Experienced very few downsides; however, the responsibilities granted to students are somewhat limited, making growth limited. Students are also only allowed to work a maximum number of hours (20). Pay is decent, but not great.

      freedom in the classroom; freedom in research endeavors; reasonable committee structure with concern for due process; promotion of interdisciplinary programs; many dedicated colleagues, inside my department and out

      Cons

      upper administration never really facilitates the sense of community; the implementation of professors of practice, or, the erosion of tenure-track professorships; wasting money on losing "professional" sports; often does not properly develop its physical resources and collections
