Pros

Paid holidays. Some lovely co-workers who will be lifelong friends.

Cons

Horrible pay. Leadership, in our school, that is overbearing, micromanaging, unwilling to trust employees with 20+ years of expertise in his/her field to do their job with authority. Very top down management style, refusal to listen to anyone's ideas or input. Constant slashing of staff with no replacements, so we are all doing way more than our job descriptions indicate. No appreciation of the above or of anything in a meaningful way. Assistant dean is just mean. Mean, demeaning, and obtuse. Students feel like faculty are not interested in them or in academics. Unbalanced emphasis on research. No curriculum support to make it interesting, engaging (powerpoint art, interactive assets, etc.) and no willingness to invest in such tools. Renegade distance learning component that is dysfunctional yet lauded for greatness because it was the premier program of its kind in the university. Staff in this unit that spends its days wandering the french quarter taking photographs and indulging in three hour lunches. Disparate pay for folks based on what seems like personal issues. It's pretty insufferable to be honest.

Pros

There are not many. You get to travel globally and some of the teachers care.

Cons

The school seems to be trying to get rid of the Full Time 2 year MBA program. Students admitted seem to be getting worse as the program plummets down the MBA rankings. School has majority Chinese students in most of the 1 year programs and it gets annoying.
