Pros

Growing, Strong company, Paid time off (more than my previous employers), Fair health care plans, Holiday parties, Profitability bonus, supervisors and management who really care and takes the time to listen to any concerns or suggestions, flexible with personal commitments, Room for advancement if you apply yourself, Free College courses during normal working hours, continuous job training

Cons

Distribution can be fast paced and stressful at times, so if you have no sense of urgency or ability to prioritize; this may not be the best career choice.

Pros

Somewhat average Medical benefits, average number of vacation days, NO Vision coverage. Lower level employees at Corporate are friendly even though they work in an atmosphere of fear where you would have to endure a soul sucking, miserable existence of a career to obtain an ESOP payout at the end. But by that time you may not have the will to enjoy those last few months of life. Another pro (for most) to working at Turtle & Hughes would be you get to discuss what's going on at work at all family gatherings, because this job is a perfect example of the ineptitude of a culture created out of Nepotism!! If you did not get a job there because you were related to someone there, you got the job because you were friends with someone there. If you happen to be one of the rare few who got the job based on your experience and resume, you are for sure living in a world of unbearable hurt!!

Cons

- The horrible pay - Having to work in a culture that promotes siloed positions (they are totally against cross training its employees) and in turn, created a very real culture of I can't show you anything because it will hurt my job security! Very archaic and sad culture - The lack of leadership - Lack of information sharing - The Horrible Pay - Lack of teamwork - Reckless growth for the sake of growth that is crippling the company and overburdening its employees - The culture of fear created after being vested in the ESOP program. It is the only reason people who are still there stick it out - The culture that rudely allows its Polish employees to constantly speak Polish every single day in front of other employees with no repercussions at all from HR - The culture that promotes and encourages butt kissing as one of the very few ways of being noticed and possibly rescued from one of their ball and chain dead end positions - Did I mention the HORRIBLE PAY! Yikes!!
