Pros

They use to be a home base mom and pop down to earth family oriented caring company decent pay and free lunches

Cons

Bad management, no longer family oriented the original president has passed 7 years ago and when he passed I strongly believe he built this company here in Houston just for him when he passed to go to heaven this company did as well.

As a family owned Women's Enterprise Business, we strive to maintain good, flexible employees who can grow, learn and mature with the company. Sometimes in a downturn, difficult decisions are necessary such as letting a person go who is hard working but has not grown or is not willing to be cross trained. We welcome feedback and if interested, I may be reached at the home office at 732-574-3600 ext. 3336.

Pros

OK benefits, will work with you on vacation and sick days but must be approved. If you are a student this job may be OK for a starter job but keep looking.

Cons

shady on pay. Example most employees are skimmed on overtime. Nepotism is everywhere. New people that started that were children of friends were slackers while real hard working employees were passed over for promotions or raises. Problems with management being so greedy. People bring guns to work and their corporate lawyer refuses to implement a safe and gun free work environment. Sexual harassment is rampant and a problem for the company but they refuse to address it. Most women harassed just left due to the company not addressing the issue or pretending to fix but waiting until employees being harassed quit. They terminated anyone that had lodged complaints within the company to get them to address ongoing issues. So much fear mongering that goes around in this place.

Pros

None, when I was on-site at Merck as a clerk, the average stay for a clerk was 6 months

Cons

Everything...no potential for growth, no support from supervisors, get treated like dirt.
