Pros
Great opportunity for college/university students or those with a career seeking extra money on the side. The job is extremely flexible in the sense that you can chose your location, your hours, and can have open communication with the parents directly if adjustments need to be made. Yet, you also have your boss to contact which I have had nothing but an amazing experience with. There is open communication, great resources, and support from my boss who always responds promptly. As a tutor, you are not only a part of a child's academic life but they look up to you as a mentor, and you can develop a strong relationship with the family you as well, and keep you up -to-date with many subjects as well. BOTTOM LINES: Its an enriching learning experience on both sides. You can control your work load. Very flexible & profitable.
Cons
As a french tutor, resources are not provided, so you need to make your own lesson plans. You do not get paid for writing session reports which can be quite time-consuming when you have multiple students and your own school work load to manage.
