Tutor.com offer a very flexible schedule for floating tutors, and the pay is comparable or even greater than most retail jobs

Cons

The blackboard system could use some work. Management takes a large portion of the money. Might be better off to just tutor without a middleman

Pros

True work from home opportunity. Hours are what you decide they are. It is very easy to get work during the year by "floating", or logging on to the system during typical schoolwork hours (5:00 - 12:00)

Cons

Management expects an average of 4.2 rating from student. This can be very difficult when you are working with students who have no understanding of the subject matter.

I work a full time job that requires at least 50 hours per week of my time. Thanks to Tutor.com, I'm able to earn some extra money without having to be out of the house any more than I already have to for my other job Also, the pay rate is fair, and there is room for advancement.

Cons

None! Just be ready to accept and utilize constructive criticism from management. The mentors are truly there to help you.
