It is okay.

Pros

Have your own schedule. Can make some side cash

Cons

Low pay for technical classes and mentoring. Student have no way to send files to tutor without using personal email. Seemed like they were trying to push AI generated schedule but were never accurate for the students. Very little administrative assistance.

Pros

The hours are fairly light during the summer, and getting paid minimum wage to just be online and available isn't bad when nobody shows up. Obviously you cannot live on this alone but it's great to pad out an income.

Cons

Sometimes you get students who are actually willing and able to learn but that's a rarity.

OK for a side job

Pros

Choose your own hours. Work in your spare time.

Cons

Low pay. Limited scheduled hours available (You basically have to compete with other tutors to get scheduled hours and are only paid half rate if no student shows up during the scheduled hours) You can float on your own time anytime you want though. No benefits.
