Pros
Hard to get fired, My position is relatively easy due to my office location and people running it. My office everybody got along well. Very easy life work balance due to Comp time and other benefits, health insurance is so so not the best but not the worst
Cons
Get paid once a month with relative non competetative salary, which is a biggy for me personally but I love the job, getting only 12 checks a year is horrible and not getting paid competitively is bad too, it takes a long time to move up the chain of command if not friends with right people, company says they hire from with in only true if you have good relationship with person hiring you, but i have to say due to the pay and no PPO option for health insurance good luck, this job would be great for retiree or with someone cares no debt or no ambition to progress financially or career wise, also so employees are really lazy and will have to work around them than with them
