There is a strong emphasis on employee satisfaction and a general feeling of team orientation.

Cons

Occasionally upper management appears to bite off more than is reasonable for teams to keep up with.

Pros

The company is growing rapidly yet the work is very stable. I never worry about being laid off. They've managed to maintain a great work-life balance. Management is fairly hands-off when it comes to specific implementation of software - but you will be expected to implement bad features if the client is willing to pay for it. I rarely spend time in meetings and I pretty much have the whole day to program. The company is building an internal knowledge base which is proving extremely helpful when understanding the idiosyncrasies of the software we make (Odyssey).

Cons

Very outdated technology and the product suite is chock full of bugs because management never says no to client demands. New leadership has pledged to cut down on custom development, I hope they stick to it. Dozens of attempts to refactor and modernize pop up but they never produce any meaningful change. This is because the capable developers are always pulled away to salvage some go-live for a new client - which you know, is caused by the fact the system is so massive, complicated, and buggy. The company *is* actually very nice to work for. There's a very low turnover and the leadership knows this. So expect to be paid less than your peers.
