If you are on a bigger team it is harder to get good raises

The cons of the job are working with government employees in certain regions can wear you down with the lack of knowledge of technology(working a computer) or knowledge of how their entity actually runs (which causes you to go in circles for setting up a system). Sone clients burn you out, others are delightful. There aren't pay raises more than 3% which is why they lose lots of people. You with really hard, learn an overly cumbersome software that makes no intuitive sense, then get 3% raises a year. In order to make more money you have to switch to an entirely different role which doesn't provide that much more pay. So increasing pay and getting performance based bonuses and money isn't someone that recommended unfortunately.
