Pros

- Job Security - Hire based on character not skills - Grow their people from the ground up - Provide a clear route for career advancement - Upper Management is friendly and involved

Cons

- Poor workers take nearly two years to remove - Certain departments fail to own work compared to others - Business can be difficult to work with - Still very much a firefighter mentality

Pros

The company is an established entity that has a lot of history. Good benefits and the cost of living is relatively low compared to larger cities. Culture is good as well.

Cons

It was tough moving to a small town after working in a large city. The commute was great, but there's not much to do. The company itself has a lot of people that have known each other for YEARS. They grew up together and have relationships that you can't really compete with. I never saw any kind of favoritism, but it was still intimidating.
