Pros

Pay is fair and comparable to what you would receive locally from other large banks. 2 weeks of paid vacation, plus up to 2 weeks in "floating" holidays (meaning for every holiday that you do not schedule off, you receive a paid day off in the future). They are working to improve the health benefits, and they work for me. Hard work is definitely rewarded with compensation as far as sales goals are concerned. Exceptional bankers are able to move into management, and there is alot of internal promotions instead of hiring from the "outside". Overall, I have really enjoyed my stay.

Cons

The customer service industry in general is not fun. Banking policies and procedures are constantly changing, and this does not benefit the customer. We are a 'for-profit' and create policies that will help with that. Working in 24 hour banking, we receive many complaints about our policies. Customers will blame the bank for "putting them on the street", "ruining Christmas", "starving the kids", etc., and it is not fun to take that call. We do not create the policies, and we do not enforce the policies, but we must defend the policies and explain them to the customers. Indeed, it is not what you would consider enjoyable.

Pros

Hourly plus incentive commissions, paid time off and benefits. The floating holidays and the flexible leave taking potential are great benefits, as well as the flexible schedule.

Cons

Senior management lacks common knowledge, and does not care about the employees. There is a very high demand on sales and not enough concentration on ethics.

Pros

Working with talented people! My co-workers are great! My boss encourages learning. I also really enjoy that my coworkers are very diverse. This brings a lot of different viewpoints to the table when problem solving. I LOVE our customer focus and feel that most managers really want to connect with the people they supervise. We are also able to purchase an additional week of vacation. They take it out over the course of the year which is nice.

Cons

Some of my coworkers have a really negative attitude about the bank but refuse to move on to something they would enjoy. Our employee review process is kind of backwards. Bonuses and raises are given before our annual reviews have been done. If there is a reason for this, it has not been communicated to me. Getting feedback on goals and other projects has been difficult.
